Lisa is a graduate student at Lancaster Bible College pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She will be graduating in May 2023. Lisa has been an intern with BACC since May 2022.
Lisa has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She looks forward to working more with families and couples as well. Lisa helps clients dealing with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions/adjustments, grief, and relationship/family issues.
Lisa prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients, creating a safe space for them to share whatever is on their minds without any judgment. Lisa often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her sessions, though she knows each client is different, and works to tailor her techniques and skills to each client’s needs. She believes in the importance of helping clients to care well for themselves outside of the counseling room, too, so she often provides clients with tools to use in between therapy sessions to reinforce their progress.
In her free time, Lisa likes photography, hiking, tennis, biking, singing, writing music, and hanging out with family and friends.
