Dr. Lynch has been a licensed certified clinical social worker for more than 15 years, bringing a distinct, systems-oriented approach to his practice. He specializes in couples therapy, family relationship dynamics, and the intersection of mental health and alcohol/substance use or non-chemical behavioral patterns like gambling or digital addictions. In addition, he specializes in sexual and gender identity.
Using his extensive background in clinical and services research, Dr. Lynch integrates Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs), including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and premier, research-backed couples’ modalities like the Gottman Method, to provide structured, effective care. He is uniquely positioned to support couples navigating recovery from alcohol/substance use as well as repetitive habits such as compulsive gaming, internet use, or shopping. He offers specialized, compassionate guidance to individuals and families managing complex life transitions, including sexual and gender identity exploration.
Dr. Lynch’s approach meets individuals and couples “where they are,” blending clinical rigor with spiritual sensitivity to provide an environment that honors his clients’ values. He serves clients across the State of Maryland exclusively through secure telehealth.
