Dana Spinler is a compassionate therapist who has spent a lifetime listening to and encouraging others. Drawing on her diverse background as a social worker, Navy wife, teacher, stay-at-home mom, advocate, business owner, and adoptive parent, Dana brings both personal and professional experience along with a warm sense of humor to her work.
She helps men, women, children, couples, and families harness their own resources to face difficulties, discover new directions, and move toward hope. Dana’s specialty is relationships, with a focus on sex therapy from a Christian perspective. Her first goal with every client is to foster healthy differentiation in navigating family of origin issues, work, partnerships, and parenting -while building resilience through acceptance.
Using approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Gottman Method, Dana guides clients toward greater clarity, authenticity, and connection across the emotional, spiritual, and physical dimensions of their lives. Her life experiences have given her empathy to be present with people through rough times, disappointments, heartaches, and general uncertainty.
Currently, her free time is spent adjusting to her new life in Annapolis after she and her husband moved here early 2026. She is looking for an over 40 running club; enjoys reading, keeping up with her three adult children, attending USNA events, and traveling with her husband. Her future goal is to walk the Camino.
