Christine is a first-generation immigrant from Seoul who grew up in New York. Growing up in a diverse, multicultural community shaped her understanding of how people live, relate, and support one another, and taught her to see each person as a unique individual. Over time, through traveling the world, forming meaningful connections across cultures, and serving for years as an intercessor in a prayer ministry, she gained a deep appreciation for the wide range of human experiences. These formative experiences also shaped her understanding of Adlerian and Gestalt perspectives, which emphasize belonging, meaning-making, and present-moment awareness as essential to personal growth and healing.
Christine’s goal in counseling is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals who feel different or misunderstood to decompress, heal, and grow. She walks alongside her clients as they explore their lived experiences, develop self-awareness, and embrace their God-given calling and identity in Christ.
Her counseling approach is holistic, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. She integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, along with mindfulness-based interventions, to support emotional regulation, increase present-moment awareness, and foster healthier responses to stress.
In her free time, Christine enjoys reading and drawing as creative outlets, spending time outdoors through hiking and swimming, and engaging in meaningful fellowship with friends as a way of nurturing connection, balance, and rest.
