Karis Barthelemy, Clinical Counseling Intern

Karis Barthelemy
Karis is a counseling intern dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive environment where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. She is passionate about fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages openness and growth. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lancaster Bible College and expects to graduate in 2026 with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same school. With a heart for faith integration, Karis values the opportunity to incorporate spiritual beliefs into counseling when clients desire it. She views the Christian faith as a powerful and personal aspect of healing and is committed to honoring each individual’s spiritual journey with compassion and sensitivity.

Karis is also interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), appreciating its practical, evidence-based approach to helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. She is drawn to CBT’s empowering techniques and its capacity to equip individuals with meaningful tools for change.

Through her work, Karis aims to support clients holistically—mind, body, and spirit—while walking alongside them with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to see them thrive.
